You’ve seen it all. You’ve seen the clear days, the blotchy days, the tanned days and the days that just look all wrong. Usually, it’s just a bit of blush, sometimes eyeliner, and then on occasion a full makeover. “Man!” You think to yourself. “Why is it so hard to stay clear and good looking?” So you apply your foundation and by the time you’ve put on eyeliner you wish you could just get back into bed and not meet anyone all day. One look in the mirror and you’re back to where you started. After all, who enjoys that pretty, made up face more than you? It’s the toil of woman.

The cosmetics industry makes billions of dollars annually. Fashion and Hollywood have set the standards for “beauty,” and most people agree with their taste. Women of all ages wear makeup! To most, it is important to be fashionable yet fashion is always changing. Funny thing about looking good, sometimes it’s looking like we want to look and others its looking how we think others would like us to look …

The beginning and the end of it is makeup gives us the confidence we might not have had was our face makeup free. I know that as a makeup artist when I do a persons face and they haven’t seen what i have been doing and then i show them, the look on their face when they are finished is priceless they look happy and there is a confidence there that wasn’t before. I have felt that before as well. I would sometimes wake up in a bad mood and then i would spend a good half an hour on my makeup and the end resulted in me feeling better because i had seen myself in a new light and i felt hot.

So in my humble opinion? Makeup is a very important feel good commodity in our daily lives!
