MAC Surf The Ocean Crushed Metallic Pigments

What MAC says about them: A style-wave of four limited edition shades of crushed metallic pigment individually presented in a see-through stack. Cool as water, blue and aqua-green shades shimmer amidst bronze, silver, and platinum frost. Limited edition.

What I say about them: I have been craving these Pigments for a while and went to the Covent Gardens MAC store and they were sold out :( so i went to Westfield this morning yup on a Friday morning and went for a visit to MAC. Thank goodness they were not sold out! I got them!! so i have been playing around with them this afternoon and to my happiness the color payoff is gorgeous! really really love them!

Because I was at Westfield I couldn’t help but stop in to Inglot cosmetics another brand everyone should buy. And got a few eyeshadows there. The brightness of their colors and the range of colors is absolutely amazing! So as makeup days goes it was a great one :)

One more thing! Clinique in House of Fraser has a giveaway today!! either in the one in Westfield or on Oxford st. Go to the counter and “check in” on your BlackBerry through places and show it to the Beauty Advisor there and get a free Airbrush Undereye Concealer!! I did it go for it!!

11pm on wednesday night and I’m really really inspired to do my makeup unfortunately there is no point coz as soon as I have done it it will have to come off my face!

It all started a while ago when i was tweeting (yes people i was on twitter) and I was looking at different makeup blogs and checking out different tutorials. Then I was checking out a palette that Make Up For Ever just put together and am totally lusting after its so bright and colorful and all the summery colors that one needs in their little makeup world. When it comes to Eyeshadows and MUFE the searching stops there! Their colors are vibrant and true to what you see!! Every time i went into their Flagship store in New York it reminded me why I love their shadows over any others (they are bigger and more pigmented)!! The people in the store are also really helpful and friendly. Its a small and quiet store in Downtown manhattan yet so much goes on there. I wish I still lived in NY just for that!!
Tell me you don’t want this!! These are the Color numbers if you want to get this palette together 26, 2, 99, 159, 18, 72, 92, 75, 91, 9. In order from back row left to right.

Perfect Bright Palette

Perfect Bright Palette

So anyway as I was saying about my inspiration, i went from place to place (online) just googling and searching makeup ideas and inspirations!! and this is why I LOVE Makeup so much. There is so much out there that can be created into a makeup look and honed and perfected into pure unadulterated beauty. Im probably waffling but my love and creativity at the moment are not being used because its so late and I have to wake up early but my heart is popping and I know I wont be able to fall asleep because my mind will be racing away at all the different makeup looks i can do in the morning and cant wait to try!

Ok ill stop! I really have to calm down and relax before bed.

Wishing everyone a peaceful and restful night (one that i wont be having)

Keep on shining and glowing

Tips and Tricks

Choose the Natural Eye you desire and follow Jerrod’s step-by-step, easy to follow instruction cards to get the look!
Avoid eye shadow “drop-down” by applying your Natural Eye look first. Next, clean off any excess shadow from under the eye and use your foundation and powder! These steps will keep you flawless and faultless every time.
Prime your lids with eye primers, then witness shadows immediately intensify and blend-our shadow bases eliminate creasing and fading!
The crowning glory of every Natural Eye are lush lashes! Finish your look by applying two or three coats of Mascara for full lush lashes!

mineralized eye shadowA sheer, pearled, mineralized powder Eye Shadow with two shades baked together in one pan. Superfine, lightweight: provides a softly tinted, reflective shimmer on the skin with a delicate sense of dimension. Subtly builds colour and shine. Can be worn on face, eyes or body.

It comes in four colors:
Mineralize black w/ gold bronze pearl (Frost)
Mineralize black w/ pinkish purple pearl (Frost)
Mineralize black w/ silver pearl (Frost)
Mineralize black with blue pearl (Frost)

I bought it in the black with the blue pearl. It is a gorgeous color and can be used either wet or dry and as a liner as well as an eyeshadow.
The only problem with it is that it was a limited edition and is not sold anymore! I went to macy’s to go buy it and the woman said that there wasnt anymore, but i went back later and the woman had it. I now regret not buying it in all colors!!
